AREAS OF SPECIALISATION
PART SALES
Our earthmoving parts stockholding offers Plant Users an alternative source of dependable and cost-effective Replacement Parts and Baldwin Filters for most type Caterpillar and Komatsu Equipment. This includes Crawler Tractors, Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Graders and Cat TLB's. Our extensive and comprehensive range addresses your parts requirements for the entire machine - from engine to transmission, torque converter to gauges and from the final drive and undercarriage to the cooling system. RSU specialise in the supply of spare parts for the 3304/6, 3406/8/12 as well as the 3508/12 Caterpillar engines. We also offer the customer a choice between original, IPD and various other well known brand name of engine parts to choose from.
Undercarriage parts for all Track Type Tractors & Excavators are available.
Our G.E.T. (Ground Engaging Tools) includes: Bucket Tips, Grader Blades, Cutting Edges, End Bits, Half Arrows, Ripper Shanks and Ripper tips for all Earthmoving Equipment. Our Cutting Edges are manufactured out of carbon steel specification SAE 1065.
In all instances RSU undertakes to match the warranty standards and product support of the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers). For re-conditioning and repairs, RSU, in accordance with our standard warranty policy, will guarantee all Components and machine rebuilding for up to two thousand hours or nine months. Should a claim arise, RSU is prepared to look at a warranty claim and to discuss the matter with your technical advisors after our workshop personnel dismantle the component
REBUILDING CENTRE
A full repair service is provided at our Overhaul Maintenance and Assembly Center at Pretoria . With a high degree of technology and expertise, our experienced workshop staff can advise you on the most cost-effective options available to recondition your earthmoving equipment.
As an additional service, RSU has established a Field Service division specialising in the service and repair of all earthmoving equipment. At present we supply diesel engineers on a contract basis to The Province of Mpumalanga Region.
Our customer basis consists of Government, Mining and the Private sector. So far we have successfully done complete and mini rebuilds of Caterpillar Machines for Ingwe (where we also supply spare parts under contract), Rhino Andalusite, Arthur Taylor Colliery Opencast Mining, Highveld Steel and Private Plant owners. RSU since November 1989 acquired listing for SABS ISO 9002, listing number LS 2300 and proudly display our certificate.
